Welcome to MallorcaDive. Here
you'll find here a list of all dive clubs and dive centres here
on the island of Mallorca. There is also a fish identification
guide to the fish you are likely to encounter while diving or
snorkelling here in Mallorca or indeed anywhere in the Mediterranean
sea. We've also put up a few photos by the talented Jim Harvey
of a few of the creatures he has encountered while scuba diving
and snorkelling on the island. We'll be putting up more photos
soon and adding factilities so anyone can upload their own images.
Also coming soon is a guide to the best dive sites in Mallorca.
Diving in Mallorca
Diving in Mallorca (Majorca) is best between the months of June
and October when the surface and water temperatures are balmy
and the visability can be as much as 40 metres.
Weather in the winter (November to April) can be cold and stormy
so dives can get cancelled, also many dive centres in Mallorca
close for the winter months. Sea temperatures in Mallorca vary
from around 26°C in August to 13°C in January (another
reason to stay away in the winter!) The suit you'll need depends
on when you dive but all dive centres rent their own equipment
and will be happy to advice on the suit you need.
