| Isla del Sec |
El
Sec is a small island slightly south of Magaluf and Palma Nova.
During the summer it is the home of the Neptuno submarine, which
circumnavigates the island. As part of the show for the tourist
professional divers hand feed the fish around the island so there
are an abundance of tame fish here, which flock around any divers.
It might be a bit artificial but it's a great experience. There
is also a wreck here which has been sunk specifically for the sub,
it's a bit broken up but has formed an artifical reef and is home
to lots of marine life. there is also a real wreck at about 30m
but there's not much to see. |
| El Toro |
The island of El Toro has recently been
designated a marine reserve so is full of life. It's probably the
best dive site in the south of Mallorca with great visibility and
something for everyone, sea slugs and lobsters for those who like
the close up stuff and great vistas, jacks and barracudas who want
something a bit bigger. |
| Malgrats |
Also in the marine reserve the Malgrats
is a similar dive to El Toro, also absolutely stunning. |
| Andrixol |
Wall dive with great vis. Shoals of cardinalfish
and damselfish with larger fish to be spotted out at sea. |
| Cave of the Madonna |
Large cavern with a huge entrance. Inside
the cave at around 20 motres is a statue of the Madonna. Inside the
cave you can surface and as you rise up the sea water changes to fresh
water. |
